The Czech company Dekonta (https://www.dekonta.cz/) has developed a mobile unit for treating groundwater to drinking water quality with technical specifications as follows:
capacity 1 m3/h, output pressure 2 bar;
self-extraction of water from a depth down to 4 m;
treatment of suspended solids, iron, manganese, nitrates, organic substances, hardness reduction, disinfection;
standard voltage (2.5 kW, 230 V);
optionally available with own electric generator (3 kW);
transport weight 800 kg, operating weight 1900 kg;
delivered by a car trailer.
The unit may be essential for the quality water supply in environmentally disadvantaged areas, in refugee settlements, in settlements with water shortage, e.g. in the Seversky Donets - Donbass Canal area. One of the organisational solutions could be to use them at schools and kindergartens with their consistent demand.
As humanitarian aid, the Czech government is funding the production of such units and their delivery to Ukraine to places with an acute need for drinking water. The pilot batch has been distributed according to the requests received; in particular, the first module was handed over to the Dnieper city water utility at the beginning of May 2023.
Questions and proposals are awaited at vladimir.morozov@dekonta.com.
